Spice Club is located in the basement of the Ambassador Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 11. It’s mainly an After Hours disco but is also open during evening hours sometimes hosting some big name Thai bands. The After Hours disco is loaded with freelancers and usually stays open all night.

Sure it has easy slags by the truck load but their DJ hiring policy is seriously lame. I’ve lost count of how many times they play a good track for about 15 seconds.
So if you want to hook a FL maybe give this place a try, but if you have spent any time in real clubs then I would avoid this place at all costs.

Band is ok, but like the music when disco is on.
Like the staff, I know one of the hostess girls quite well and also have a laugh with couple of the waitresses.
Also, for me always seem to be far cuter girls around than at Spicy or Bossy and on a par with a good night at Tunnel!
Really like it!

The default pickup disco where many freelancers end up after striking out (or pulling an early evening short time) from Gullivers or Soi 7 Beergarden. but you also get freelancers who exclusively work Spice and the other late night venues, and gogo girls who either want a second customer, are entertaining barfines, need the extra money, or just want to have a good time.
You will find everything here (or depending on the night, nothing), from sponsored girls who dont need your money and won’t give you the time of day, to desperate chicks who are happy to go for a 1000-baht shag, to stuck up freelancers who try to snag 3000-4000 baht from newbie mongers who don’t know the market.
For example, I took an older lady home from Spice this week who was a feature dancer at Living Dolls in Pattaya, and for personal reasons is trying to make the transition to Bangkok. It was an awful night for the girls to troll for customers, with the girls pretty much outnumbering the guys, and this lady was at least 29 years old, so she was more than happy to bounce for one purple note.
Her performance was satisfactory; she was a real ‘up2U’ old school Thai hooker, and she was very appreciative to have the business.
I also met a pseudo-girlfriend here, who is sponsored by one of those uber-wealthy European business men that only makes it over here a couple times a year, and brings his chicken to Amsterdam for a couple months per annum. When she’s not chatting with him on MSN telling him how much she loves him, or shacked up in his huge house in the Netherlands, she’s nestled up with Mr Smith keeping me very warm and toasty. Thank heavens for sponsored girls, the sponsors subsidize many of us expats to shag their girls for free repeatedly (SOMEBODY’S GOT TO DO IT)!
And thanks for Spice: it can suck, or it can be off the hook.
I don’t especially dig the atmosphere, truth be told, but it serves its purpose and fills a useful niche: a fallback position, a cheaper option for an acceptable shag, and/or a place to find a diamond in the rough.

I was dancing and grooving with my gal, only to have a service staff grab my Sing bottle and inspect it too see if I want another. This happened way too often- they also tend to hover around your table.
I did like that fact that many local Thais hang there- not just your average balding, overweight, falang sex-tourist. I’m not sure if you could pull some talent (I did see some options lurking about) - I think it’s more of a place to bring a hookup to just to have some fun before hitting the sheets.
The live Thai rock cover band that showed up and did a quick set was really good- I’ve seen them rock the Hillary beer bar near Nana many times already. Doo-doo-doo Doo ter tam…!

THe drinks are steep and the women are unpickable. Man I am dissapointed with the place. Its filled with old white men with women that I wouldn’t do for free.
I saw a white oldie dancing as if he was having a epileptic fit. If you are looking for picking up women these are worse than what you see on the streets where atleast you can see them in light. Its just thai girls who are desperate to get a white guy there.
I had my mandatory drink but the waiters kept asking me to have another one …happened thrice….little pushy.

But - the prices are silly - a Johnny Walker Black goes for B 2,000
The high pressure sales tactics will drive you mad - even with a full bottle of scotch the girls are constantly pestering you to buy tequilas - completely ruined my evening they just will not leave youalone
Iam never going back for that reason

Music hip-hop/band. The dancers are fun to watch. The place is more P4P than other venues, and its a bit dark so buyer beware what looks like a hottie at night can be a nightmare in the AM, take her to the bathroom to get a good look.
Weekdays are better F/M ratio maybe 3/1 than weekends when its rammed with sausage. You have to be a little tolerent here as you can have 2-3 parties at the same table.

My issues are with the music (tired hip-hop) and the average quality of the girls. Never really seen any 9’s or 10’s in there. Also, I can’t say I’m a big fan of the lighting. Nit-picking for sure, but that’s what comes to mind.

For sure it is busy and rammed with freelancers but there comes a point where there is too much of a good thing. If you can, my suggestion is to go during the week or on Sundays.
The music is Hip Hop, the coyote girls are okay and the sound system is nice. This is the lower Suk after-hours play indeed.

The place is huge with a large bar in the back, a large stage for the go-go dancers and live music, dancing room everywhere, a large DJ booth in the middle where they mostly spin hip-hop with occasional house, and plenty of seating (unless it’s packed which it usually is).
They are open before 2:00am with the occasional big name Thai band but I wouldn’t know how it is because I’ve only gone after 2:00am. You can check their website listed above. It’s a multimedia mess but it does have some information on events.
The place is loaded with Freelancers every night. Weekday nights are better than weekends where it is just too crowded and heavy on the guys. Admission is 200 baht and you get a free drink with that. Drinks are reasonably priced for an After Hours place with the average drink price of 200 baht. My only complaints about this place are the dizzying lighting and 200 baht Tequila Shot price. Otherwise, it’s all good.
