i think this was my first time here in about five years. it’s changed. in fact, i didn’t recognize the place. not sure if there’s a cover to get in, but the thai vietnamese claimed she bought a 15,000 baht membership and thus whisked me and her friend in without any problem. have no idea what the membership gets you, but i’m guessing you’d get a far better value for your money at a g club.
turns out the girl i was with was angling for 5,000 baht, which was a non-starter, even though the experience would have been sublime. plenty of other girls though. some europeans and africans, but mainly thai. there wree lots of light skinned girls who came alone dressed to the nines. almost impossible to avoid eye contact, and they’d set a sort of hungry gaze on you if you looked in their direction (actually, it was a little creepy). didn’t bother talking to anyone else except my vietnamese girl’s dour little friend, who spent five minutes grinding against my leg. had enough of that and was outta there.
a unique punter clientele as well. seems to be lots of middle eastern types with extremely poor fashion sense but loads of cash (again, lots of them coming alone for some reason, and the girls are not shy to walk up and start a conversation, which likely focuses on 5,000 baht or some multiple thereof).

Man, this place is funky. Every six months or so for the past four years, I manage to visit this place. It’s gone through quite the transformation. The live music and the venue are pretty much the same. It’s a nice club and the band plays modern dance/pop/hiphop for the most part. The only thing that has really changed is the crowd. Four years ago, it was a young crowd and was always packed. There were many freelancers, half Thai, half Eastern European/Russian. You also had non-p4p crowds that rolled in. That has changed dramatically.
The average age of the crowd now is 50+, and most of them are not aging well. Almost every country is represented but it’s mostly Middle Eastern and Indian. The freelancers are now mostly Eastern European/Russian but still some locals. The freelancers are also older than what you would normally see at Before and After Hours clubs. The club was half full and the vibe was very weak. Not many non-p4p people any more, although there were a few.
Still, we found a few girls that we knew and had a good time. My friend brought over one of the best looking Thai freelancers for a drink or two. Turned out she wanted 5000 baht so he dumped her. The rate is definitely higher across the board here, but you can definitely understand why. The clients are mostly trolls so these girls should be asking top prices. I saw this 60+ tiny ugly lump of a guy with this 20 something stunner, who was all over him. She’s gotta be charging 10k minimum for her services.
Overall, if you don’t mind the older p4p show and are with a group that want to dance and have a good time at a Before Hours disco, CM2 is not a bad option. You can even pull p4p here if you want but there are definitely better options. We bought a bottle of Absolut for 3000 baht which got us all in without a cover. I cant stand the place the music sucks and the vibe is very hard core. There are too many other good places to go to waste your time at this venue.

I have to give it something given how long it has lasted, the amount of business they do and that it attracts girls but I don’t like the vibe. THe band is tired, the girls don’t like local mongers and it sure is not cheap.
Possibly fun to bring some girls with u but I would rather go to a real club for that since the point of coming to CM2 is to pull. The pulling is just not what it used to be given the huge ladyboy section and part of the club dedicated as an eastern european cultural center.

Absolutely an institution in the Bangkok freelancer scene. The layout is decent, with a substantial portion of the floor space dedicated to the dance floor. However, I’m not a big fan of live hip-hop shows, which limits the amount of time I would actually spend dancing. I much prefer when the DJ takes over while the band takes a break.
Definitely towards the high end of the scale as far as pricing goes, both in terms of the cost of the drinks as well as what the freelancers think they’re worth.
A substantial amount of eastern European girls frequent this place. And this in turn attracts their customer base, mostly Middle-Eastern and Indian guys who want a girl with alabaster white skin and blond hair. I’ve heard reports of outrageous qoutes from this portion of the freelancer crowd.

I’m confident you’ll get more informed reviews from others, but I end up at CM2 3 or 4 times per year so I’ll throw in my two cents. Every time I have been to this place it has been to go dancing with a girl I picked up somewhere else. Loud dance music, a decent sized dance floor, and as comfortable as these places tend to be, with high small tables and stools available.
You usually buy your drinks at the door, though you can pay a cover charge, get a free drink or two, then pay as you go if you want. If you buy a bottle, mixers and ice are extra, so it can add up fairly quickly. When I take a girl, she almost always wants to ‘call a friend’. This will usually be a couple of female friends, or occasionally a sister + boyfriend who normally can’t afford CM2 so they all want to drink on the farang’s dime.
Typically this pisses off other punters, but it usually doesn’t bother me as long as the girls asks. In fact I often suggest it. I find that she has more fun, and I have more fun if she has some friends along.
Now, most people will go to CM2 to hunt and kill freelancers, which is why my review sort of sucks. I’ve never gone there to get girls, just to have fun with the ones I’ve already got.
The ferang crowd tends to be more truly international than a lot of the other places I spend time, with a lot of Arabs & Eastern Europeans, meaning that in the past the place was so thick with cigarette smoke you could almost swim in it. We’ll see if the smoking ban has any effect.
The girls are usually very available and aggressive here. They are typically dressed up a little more, drinking and dancing, so they seem very in the mood. I think CM2 represents a big investment for them in time and money, so I believe most of them plan to go home with a customer.
Like many dance clubs, nothing really happens before 10:30, then it’s packed at midnight and empty by 2:00.
Overall, I’d say its a decent dance club that is perhaps just a bit expensive for what’s actually delivered, but if you have any skill at all in picking up girls, you should walk out with a full tucker bag at the end of the night at CM2. View all reviews by werewolf
