Always one of the busiest bars on Cowboy. In need of a remodel but with regular shows, plenty of nudity and decent prices - Long Gun seems to always bring them in.

Getting There: Tell the taxi Soi Cowboy or Cowboy - they all know it. Or take the BTS and get off at Asoke. Walk under Asoke, using the underground train station, and head towards Sukhumvit 23 or look for the neon. Or use the MRT, the subway, and get off at Sukhumvit. Head towards Sukhumvit 23.

Dropped in last night just to check it out. The line up was pretty poor, but I am a Tilac guy. I did have a blast chatting up this gal. She is a big country girl, not pretty at all, and fairly thick, but man what a fun girl to party with. She laughed and played, had me in stitches. Only been working a month, were chatting up and then from under her wrist band she has folded up a “cheat sheet” for Farang small talk. I kid you not this girls have a script. It was so funny. I spent an hour helping her with her pitch. To bad she is really ugly and a bit chubby, great fun lady. The bar? Well nothing to get excited about.

Long Gun has never been a fave of mine.
It always struck me as too mercenary, with a low fun factor. And the feng shui of the place, if you will, left much to be desired–it was uncomfortable.
Since the remodel, it is a more comfortable place to sit, and had become one of my regular pop-my-head-in-and-see-who’s-working-tonight stops on teh Soi Cowboy trail.
I barfined a cutie from LG last night, one I’ve been chatting up for awhile but never took home. She was indeed beautiful, but the service, as I somewhat anticipated, was lacking in some regards.
She said at the bar she could only do ST (a red flag in most cases), which was understood. But it should be in every hooker’s handbook that you never, EVER tell a customer when you want him to come.
I was prepared to give her up to 1500 for the ST, since I thought she had potential to make it into my regular rotation.
Considering the rushed service and the lack of a BJ (something else that should be a listed requirement in every prostitute’s primer), I gave her 1100 (100 for taxi, which I considered a tip–factor in also that I barfined her only 30 minutes before closing time, something I rarely do when it’s so easy to just meet them after work).
She griped, ever so slightly, saying it’s 2000 baht for short time. I informed her politely that as a local I never pay that amount for a short ST (a more spirited ST from an uber hottie who goes bareback, perhaps could pinch me for 2K). She then promptly resumed her otherwise pleasant demeanour and split.
Another thing about Long Gun that had been a real positive was reasonably priced drinks. I think beers used to be 100 baht. If I’m not mistaken, the price ahs gone up slightly.
Last night I was charged 600 baht for the barfine, which was shocking, since a couple months ago I paid 500–the waitress claimed the fines had been hiked by 100 bht. So I wonder if feature dancers, who used to go for 750, are even more?
Once again, the upward creep of prices, combined with sliding standards of service, makes for a lower rating than could, or should be.
4 stars for the remodel, 4 stars for the handful of real cuties and stable of generally do-able girls, 2 stars for pricing and 2 stars for girl’s performance gets LG 2.5 stars in my book, factoring in certain intangibles. I’ll round it up to 3, sicne it’s still on my crawl list, although not first string.
Some good looking girls but a bad attitude forces me to give this place a miss.

Took a friend last night to see the dart-firing, trumpet-playing, needle-dispensing etc etc pussy show.
Never did like this bar and like it even less now. Too crowded, the seating is falling apart, most of the girls are too busy doing show stuff to have any time to be fun and the service staff…..oh, god.
The service staff kept checking my drink every 20 seconds to see if I had finished; I understand that they are required to keep people spending money but this bordered on harrassment. Added to this, the service staff continually stood in front of customers preventing them from seeing the girls (I was not the only one finding this annoying). Finally I had to wait nearly 20 minutes for my change. After walking up to the cashier and asking for an explanation I was told that the ugly “Tom” (no place for these in gogo bars in my opinion) who took my money gave the change to the wrong customer and he wouldn’t give it back. In their idea of customer service it was now up to me to wait until they got it back!!!! I told the cashier that I didn’t care about this, and I wanted my change (610 baht) right away. I eventually got it and was grouched at when I didn’t leave a tip.
I am not sure if Werewolf’s was drinking Chang when he said in his review that beer was 90 baht, but Heineken last night was 130 baht a bottle. I don’t know how much lady drinks are but I can’t imagine that anything less than the threat of extreme violence would persuade me to buy one.
Most of the girls “dancing” were nude most of the time but quite frankly I don’t find being stick thin, sagging breasts and morose expressions sexy so to me the quality of the girls was quite poor. In fact I have seldom seen less joy in the faces of gogo girls and far from being arousing their shuffling around naked was quite pitiable. A couple of the show girls were quite sexy but they disappeared quickly after thir routine and they didn’t look very friendly anyway.
I guess one thing Long Gun had going for it last night was lots of girls. After the show the whole cast were on stage, but at 11.30 with so many girls still working it seems that most customers shared my opinion of the girls employability.
Unless you want to see a “crazy twat” show without getting ripped off or you are some sort of masochist who enjoys sitting on uncomfortable, collapsing seating then I cannot see any reason to stop in this bar unless this was an unusual experience but from what other people are saying about the place I think it is fairly typical of a bar that is rapidly going downhill.
Bitterly disappointed with the line-up - there used to be some really stunning girls here but now…well, let’s start by saying that the B team has some women who are, frankly, fat porkers and others with more stretch marks than anyone would feel comfortable with. The A team seems to be silicone city and about ten years older than I remember. This used to be the only gogo in Cowboy that I went to but its time for a change
The first Cowboy go-go I saw, as a local friend decided I should catch the traditional banana/dart/etc shows. We arrived only minutes before a few were to start and I was duly impressed. The ‘Blow the darts out and pop balloons’ one was most impressive to me, though obviously I don’t know if it should be. Perhaps ‘Spit the banana out your pussy’ is of another class in terms of degree of difficulty. One interesting thing was watching the girls’ abs expand and compress to shoot the darts. I’ve seen a bellows at a glass factory that pushed less.
Fun Long Gun fact #1. My friend knew the owners, having owned some bars locally in a previous life. He had one of the showgirls come over and show me the darts. They’re pretty serious little critters–heavier than I expected, longer than I expected, and sharp as hell. Considering the velocity the girls get going on them I’m surprised no farang ever lost an eye to one of the little buggers, which would be funny as hell if it happened to anyone but me. ‘So, Frank, what happened to your eye on vacation’ they asked around the water cooler.
There were some cuties, some ogres, and a lot in between, and we were off hunting elsewhere soon. Also, my finely honed former professional musician radar spotted a lass or two who, if I didn’t know better, I might have thought were chemically altered. Definitely worth it for the shows if you’re into that, and I’m sure there are some fine ladies to take out here if you’re willing to look a bit.
Long Gun was the first ever bar I set foot in in Bangkok, way back when I was FOB, so it has a special place in my heart. Unfortunately it hasn’t changed much in the past 3 years. The last time I was in there, I wasn’t hassled by anyone, except the ‘mamasan’ (looked exactly like a guy in high heels - no effort to look like a woman) who followed me into the toilet and the bartender who was convinced that I was her British boyfriend (I’m Australian). the music was good, but there were only a few girls I would bother to barfine. There were also a number of girls doing the whole uncomfortable, annoying, trying to ‘hide their bits’ dance on stage, which makes you just want to go over and tell them to put some clothes on and go work in a bar that doesn’t require nudity.
Seems as I’m in the minority here but I love this bar. I like the music selection, the place is always packed with girls and I have never recieved bad service here, far from it. The staff has always been friendly. Yes the décor hasnt changed too much in a long time, but I like the atmosphere, kind of old school.
I think it’s been in a steady decline. I always feel I have to stop in in hopes of finding it living up to its hype and past glory, but it seems I’m always disappointed. The showgirls used to be white hot and great pulls, and even the lineups had a good ratio of cuties; now I wouldn’t bother to bf the showgirls. Last time I asked the mms if one of my ATFs was still there, and the mms said she’d made enough $$ to quit and open a salon. The next night, the mms saw me walking the soi and said the girl was going to be there that night. What a coinky-dink! Clearly a hustle to get me to go in for a few drinks, while the mms says “I just spoke with her, she’s coming in 30 min.” all night long. I’m getting agitated just thinking about it. 2 stars might be generous.
I’ve had a series of good nights in Long Gun over the last two months. I’ve barfined two dancers and had a good experience both times. I see a lot of regular girls in there who have nice bodies and offer plenty of smiles and good attitude as well.
The place is old and the seating very uncomfortable. Rawhide (same owner and nearly identical layout) has better looking girls, hotter shows, and a better vibe.
Beers are 90 baht (while my last time in Baccarra the same bottle of beer was 140 baht) so, while the place may not be re-modeled, the owner is being very realistic with pricing.
Ignore the pricing and I figure this is a 2 or 3 star bar. Take into account that a heineken is 60% or 70% of the standard Soi Cowboy price and I think it rises to 3 or 4 stars.
This bar has more fat girls than I would like, but it has plenty of girls dancing every night, and it’s got it’s share of nice looking women too. The girls on stage stay up there a long time (about 20 minute rotations) so when you buy a girl a drink, she can usually stay with you for a long time.
On the basis that nearly every dancer is almost completely naked every time they take the stage, I think I’ll go 4 stars. Nudity, low prices, and enough decent looking girls to make the trip worthwhile is enough for a cheap charlie like me.
Things can change. I have been there a couple of times recently and the A Team girls are awesome lookers. Do they have an attitude? Did you ever meet an 9/10 or 10/10 dancer who didn’t?
LG used to be the bomb but slowly and steadily going down hill but so far has not affected their trade. It desperately needs a remodel. I think they remodeled the bathroom hallway recently.

I don’t think it’s the worst bar on Cowboy, but it’s certainly in the bottom half. Like Angelwitch, they found a formula that worked several years ago, and the bar has been steadily stagnating ever since.
A few cuties can be found, but it’s pot luck, and the hotter showgirls often don’t seem too interested in being barfined.
The seating is possibly the least-comfortable in South East Asia.
