The point most tourists fail to understand is, what you get for 50 euros in BKK the rest of us wouldnt pay more than 35 euros for.
I’m sure you all make great salaries, so next time you are in BKK just passing out extra 10-euro notes like they are business cards, please use one to buy me a few drinks…I’ll save you more than that by negotiating with the girl for you in my broken thai, and you’ll get better service, too!
Of course it seems awesome compared to the hum drum outrageously priced venues at home. But if you go see a whore at home for 200 euros, and she gives you begrudging, subpar service, you don’t then stuff another 50 euros down her bra on the way out the door, do you?
This is the equivalent of paying bar, taking a girl out for 2000bht ST, getting substandard service, and then tipping 500 baht.
It may be hard to accept, but this sort of behavior is what has led to the steady creep of prices going up, and consistent slide in willingness to please in gogos over the past few years. Paying more at a gogo does not necessarily get you better service.
While I offer this advice selfishly, ’cause I live here and have precious little cash to spend, it can also benefit the travelling monger who is not on an executive expense account.

The renovations are complete (as far as I can tell) and it’s a nice improvement - the place is no longer musty and run down on the inside.
The average girl at Rawhide may not be very hot, but the girls on the high end (the quasi-showgirls) are hot and quite fun to hang out and party with. This place is good and I can certainly recommend it. Girls are great and friendly, good friendly service, mamasan and management too are great. Been there twice, and will go back again. Drinks are reasonable, 130 baht for a beer, 110 for a ladies drink.
I’ve not really been around other places, but this place is non-smoking, so you don’t get smoke in your eyes. To me the girls are alright looking at best, very good selection and you’re bound to see a girl to your liking.
There’s a shower area, and 3 girls perform a shower bath there. But you have to come at the right time (10.30pm). Well, where else can you see women showering? Full nudity on the stage with performances, pole swinging, even a lesbian show (dance acted).
