One of the most popular Nana Entertainment Plaza GoGo’s. They are best known for the Cabaret style shows that usually begin around 10:30pm. A medium size stage and plenty of seating. They have enjoyed quite a bit of success over the years but unfortunately that has brought along attitude and higher priced drinks. Good for newbies to see the shows but once you’ve seen the same show three times there isn’t much reason to stay. They are pros here and will work you for every baht in your wallet but if you don’t know any better it won’t matter and you’ll have a great time.

However, out of all the bars I have been to to in BK AW is my fav, why you may ask.
1: If it is the first time for you or your mates in BK why not go to a place where you can watch a decent sexy show without the fear of some bitch saying you owe a couple of thousand baht.
2: If you go in there and ask to be left alone they will (Anyone who says otherwise is a tw*t I have been going there for 6 years and have had no problems)
3: Out of all the bars and shows you can see in Soi Cowbowy, Pat Pang and the rest of Nana Plaza the girls in AW are usually good looking, young and not thai boys. :!

As a first timer to this go-go I thought it was great. They have obvioulsy put a lot of effort into the show and it makes a great change from your normal go-go soft shoe shuffle I see at most places.
Yes I agree with most of the othe reviews about the drinks being highly priced and the girls drinking you dry. But I earn enough money in the World to worry about a few extra hundred bhat.
Maybe I was lucky as the girl who latched herself onto me was both a looker and a pleaser. So much so that I went back the next night to BF her. Was worth every penny in my books as I had a great time.
Yes some of the girls are looking a little tired and obvioulsy don’t get many barfines, but there were enough there to make me want to go back sample some more.

It’s really gone downhill… as in crashing and burning. The selection of girls was just bad.
The shows are exactly what they always have been. And I do mean EXACTLY. Every show I saw the other night was unchanged from my first visit more than three years ago. Can you say “stale”?
If it’s your first time in Bangkok, go ahead and visit. But there won’t be any reason to go back a second time.

Good Barfines have been 1-4 for me, Yep batting .250 decent for baseball bad for barfines.
If you have a lady its not a bad place to take her to just to check it out foreplay… ha ha ha.

Thai girls love to laugh and have a great time, so they really appreciate being taken there. We have all BF a girl from here when on our own and the experiences were 2 bad (too many Tequilas)and 1 good. So from now on we will be returning again only when we can enjoy the company of a lady as a foreplay to the walk across the road to the bed.
Makes it hard to rate. Enjoyed the shows and they do put new acts on every now and then. When you are being played with by a beautiful thai girl while watching the show and drinking a beer it isn’t like home!

But oddly, I have had some of my best long-time hookups at Angelwitch. After paying my dues to the mamasans with numerous drinks for the first 3-4 visits, the big mamasan, took a liking to me, interviewed my desired profile for a lady, and has since consistently picked winners when I ask her recommendation: typically, one of the newest FOB girls with good attitude or one of the door greeters.
Just shows ya never can tell about NEP night spots.

The shows are cabaret-style rather than the full-on sexy shows you can find on Soi Cowboy. Very well choreographed and professionally done, but repeat viewings do not reward.
Like pmmp, I spent a lot of time in here when I first came to Bangkok. Made the mistake of buying each of the mamasans a drink, as I’d heard that this was the smart thing to do. On every single visit since, they’ve demanded I buy them another one. They’ve never done a thing for me.
There are certainly a lot of girls working here, but a lot of the regular gogo girls are a bit patchy - in my opinion, at least. Some of the showgirls are undeniably hot, but you usually can’t take them out until all the shows have finished at around 1am.
With bottles of beer now priced at ฿145, this is currently the most expensive gogo bar in Thailand, to the best of my knowledge.
Still, worth a visit if you haven’t been yet.

- The shows are boring. The way the staff claps and hoots insesintly for each show disgusts me. Let the customers clap if they think the show is good. We know you all think it’s the best show on earth.
- Expensive as heck. Probably the most expensive right now.
- Mamasans are wicked and will soak you for every baht you have.
- Attitude is horrible in general. They are number one and they act it. Who needs that? Girls generally charge more and give bad service because they can, they are Angelwitch girls after all.
- The guy who makes the announcements is a complete tool. He thinks he’s the Manager but isn’t responsible for managing anything in the bar. The girls don’t like him and he will hump your leg when you are trying to watch the shows and tell you all about how Angelwitch is having it’s best days ever. His name is Dave the Rave. If you haven’t met him, you should. You will never go back to Angelwitch again.
With that said, I have had some great times in Angelwitch. It was my first favorite GoGo for a while and I dumped tons of cash in the place including a lifetime barfine but as I got to know everyone there I saw how it really is. They are sharks so be careful. That may be true of many GoGo’s but AW sharks are the most fierce.
I will however tell newbies to go there, albeit with a caveat about not becoming too attached to the place, because they have the best shows and atmoshpere in NEP which isn’t saying much since there is no competition. Put Angelwitch on Cowboy and it’s just another average GoGo, similar to the Angelwitch in Pattaya which I haven’t been to in over a year as well. There are too many better alternatives to waste my time and money in Angelwitch.

I’ve never attempted to barfine an Angelwitch dancer, and never had much conversation beyond, “bring me another Heineken” so I can’t comment much on the attitude of the girls.
I reckon you’ve got to admire a formula that continues to drag in the punters day after day, year after year.
I’ve never had a bad trip to Angelwitch, but I’ve always left alone.
