Mandarin Table Dance

mandarint.jpg

A different layout but still a pretty standard GoGo in Nana Entertainment Plaza. It’s different in that they have several Coyote dancing pods rather than a large stage. Other than that it’s your average run of the mill GoGo.

As stated by Jase, as soon as you get to the top of the escalator at NEP, a shitload of staff from 3 different bars try to herd you into their bar. Occasionally for a change I let them and this time I found myself in Mandarin Table Dance. Average size bar with a number of seperate stages and pole - enough to cater 2 dancers/table. The quality is pretty average but there are a few hardbodies and a couple of real hotties if you get in early (I went at 9pm). As it was explained to me by one bargirl when I asked her why she wasn’t working in one of the better gogo’s or in Soi Cowboy she said “It’s better to be a big fish in a small pond”.

Also if your a young, goodlooking guy like myself, watchout for the mamasan who likes to flirt (read sexually assault) customers. I had her literally giving me a lapdance and sticking her massive nom-yai’s in my face while I was trying to get the attentions of one of the hardbodies I was looking at, over the mamsans shoulder. I sobered up pretty quickly after a lot of false smiling and checkbinned. As I was getting ready to leave, mamasan promoptly leapt onto the customer next to me and started the same schtick. As I left I whispered into the guys ear “Your fucked now!” and left the bar for the upstairs Mandarin GoGo (which I recommend).

As soon as I reached the top of the escalator (which is working again) I was assualted by the door greeters from Mandarin, Mercury and MTD. I ended up going with a cute door girl from MTD into MTD - it’s small, the door girl and her sister (also a door girl) were easily the hottest girls (there were no dancers that I would barfine). Every 5 minutes or so I had either one of 2 service girls or the mamasan come over and tell me that I HAD to pay bar for the girl I was sitting with and demanding drinks for themselves. I relented and bought drinks for a couple of girls and the mamasan and to say thankyou the mamasan gave me a neck massage that ended up being more of a throat/choking massage than a neck massage. A couple of the girls after asking me for ‘1 dlink!’, ordered 2 or 3 in one go and put them to the side to have later, which pissed me off - when I told the mamasan she only said ‘but you said they could have drink!!’ - yes ‘drink’ not ‘drinks’, especially when I wasn’t interested in the girls at all. On a positive note - the music was good and varied between good Thai stuff and good dance music and the sister door greeters were cute and fun. I’ve been to MTD 3 times now on different days and it’s always been the same for me.

This is the closest thing to an American strip club that I’ve found in Bkk, so if you like interacting with the girls on stage and having a decent lap dance it’s worth a look. If all you want is to find a nice girl to barfine, then don’t bother.

Agree with Smitty. One (or two)of us like the tackle being played with and the girls are sexy and nice. We like it when the time between rotations is tight so we can escape while they are dancing. #92 was hot for M, but T took one back across the road but she had no ID so he had to let her go! Went to car park and got another one!
    Well worth a visit.

This is one of the only bars in Bangkok where I get a pushy mamasan, but I’ve developed a decent relationship with the fat old hag, so it’s more laughs than aggravation for me.

Personally, I like the layout of the bar that brings a girl or two right up close to you, as well as the rotation that keeps fresh dancers at your table every few minutes.

Typically bars that are very hands-on (grabbing your tackle, rubbing your chest, etc) irritate the shit out of me, and I’ll leave. At MTD the girls are aggressive but seem to have a sense of whether that aggression is bothering you, and will back down a bit if you seem uncomfortable.

The outfits on the dancers are usually pretty sexy, and I find that the girls seem to know how to move just a bit better than most go gos.. Maybe it’s due to each girl dancing in her own space instead of all grouped on a single stage.

I haven’t been here many times… perhaps four or five visits all up… but I’ve enjoyed every one. One of my visits was on a night when I was coming down with a stomach flu, and even that night I was having fun. A sexy (and very professional) go go dancer #49 was keeping me company, and despite my rapidly deteriorating health, I was considering barfining her. I finally decided to go home and crawl into bed alone (the right decision) but the girl had such a great body and attitude that it was a very close-run decision.

Overall, I figure its worth a look just about every night of the week.
